I’m not quite ready to leave Kandinsky’s geometries. Last week, particularly at the prison, my students were reverentially turning the pages of the glossy coffee table show catalogue. A number of them are artists in their own right and relished the opportunity to study Kandinsky’s paintings. At the Errera Center, one of the veterans began to share with me how much she loves visiting the Yale Museum for British Art….
I went out with my camera, this time looking for triangles. As many of us know from looking for the perfect Christmas tree, perfect triangles are not common in nature. Some of the ones I found are a bit contrived. Overlapping branches and shadows between posts…..
I’m beginning to think in terms of spiritual Trinities, pyramids, cones, and finally the triangle pose. Feel free to share your triangle musings and stay tuned for the lesson next week.
